Abstract
SummaryRostral mandibulectomy is a relatively rarely performed procedure, reported mainly for rostral mandibular mass removal. This retrospective case series reports the histories, clinical findings and outcome in six horses that underwent rostral mandibulectomy. Three horses had mandibular fractures, necessitating rostral mandibulectomy; one case had both a fracture and a rostral mandibular mass. Two cases had mandibular masses without fracture involvement. All cases had a successful outcome, with good functional and cosmetic results.
