Abstract
The haemoproteids of the avian family Rallidae are reviewed. Haemoproteus porzanae Galli-Valerio, 1907 and H. gallinulae de Mello, 1935, are redescribed; H. fulicae da Fonseca, 1938 is declared a synonym of H. gallinulae. Haemoproteid records from the Rallidae are summarized.
