Abstract
The equilibrium diagram of the system triethylamine–methylethylketone–water has been investigated completely with respect to the occurrence of solid phases and of the lower and upper solution temperatures of the [Formula: see text] equilibria, where L1 and L2 are equilibrium liquid phases. The [Formula: see text] surface is not completely realizable because this surface is intersected by the [Formula: see text] surface. In this respect the system forms a contrast to the previously investigated system nicotine–methylethylketone–water, where the complete [Formula: see text] surface is realizable experimentally.
