Abstract
A chemically defined medium was formulated for the vegetative growth of Bacillus sphaericus NCA Hoop 1-A-2. Growth was enhanced by supplementing with synthetic or naturally occurring chelators. In the presence of EDTA, in addition to increased growth, the strain sporulated to varying degrees.
