Abstract
The prospect of utilising Islamic values and principles, as a system of governance, has been the aspiration of many Muslim people throughout their history, as well as their governments and administrations. Today, those same aspirations are no less alive than before, but what seems to be lacking is the articulation of a cohesive theory of Islamic Governance applicable for all socio-political settings, past and present, including the Negara. Of greater challenge is: how can those principles and values create functional relevance in a contemporary setting? This paper will attempt to establish some of the principles of Islamic Governance. Inshā Allah.
