Abstract
Reduced scattering and absorption coefficients of piglet head were measured in-vivo by analyzing the observed temporal responses based on the diffusion theory. The reduced scattering and absorption coefficients in normoxic condition were around 1.3 and 0.013 [mm-1], respectively, at the wavelength of 760nm. When hypoxia was induced, the absorption coefficient was increasing, while the scattering coefficient was constant. It was suggested that in-vivo measurement of the optical parameters in piglet head was possible based on the photon diffusion theory.
