Abstract
We propose a homogeneous 13-core 4 linear-polarized modes fiber based on a suspended air-trench V-type index core (SA-VC) structure that can suppress inter-core cross talk (ICXT) and inter-mode cross talk. The SA structure is used to control ICXT, and the VC structure is used to control inter-mode cross talk. Cross talk and other properties of the fiber are calculated by coupled power theory and the finite element method.
