Abstract
Fusion is the property that allows the perception of a single image in a single binocular direction. Fusion is made up of two components: motor fusion in which vergence eye movements compensate for disparate retinal images, and sensory fusion, which is the property of the visual system that allows the perception of a single objet to be obtain from disparate images without using vergence eye movements.
