Abstract

Abstract Pyogenic epidural abscess is a rare illness that can occasionally present like cauda equina syndrome. It may quickly advance and result in long-term neurological paraplegia. This case involves a 17-year-old female who had been experiencing backache for 2 weeks and weakness in her right lower limb for 1 week. She was managed conservatively. Our case is distinctive in that, despite a magnetic resonance imaging diagnostic of the tuberculosis spine, it was ultimately determined to be of pyogenic origin and was treated as such.
