Abstract
Abstract
Idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias are frequently encountered in clinical practices. Melatonin is a frequently used medication for treating insomnia. Melatonin is usually considered a safe option among the drugs used to control insomnia. Here, we report a patient with ventricular ectopics induced by melatonin. The patient’s ventricular ectopics and symptoms disappeared on stopping melatonin. This case illustrates the importance of history taking specifically all medication history in clinching the etiology before proceeding for invasive electrophysiological studies.
