1. In 1386 Queen Jadwiga of Poland married Duke Wŀadysŀaw Jagieŀŀo uniting the two crowns. This event foreshadowed the political Union of Lublin achieved in 1569
2. The new order was represented by nucleated villages with clearly defined boundaries, consolidated and regular field systems associated with more intensive agricultural techniques, standard dues and payments and autonomous urban administration with similarly rationalized town lands
