Abstract
The structures of two bioactive germacranolide furanosesquiterpenes from Cryptocarya densiflora B1. ( Lauraceae ) have been determined by X-ray crystallogaphic methods and have been shown to correspond to linderane and pseudolinderadine. The ambiguity regarding the stereochemistry of the C1-C2 epoxide in pseudolinderadine is clarified. This compound has not been reported previously as a natural product.
