Two New Clerodane Glycosides from Gleichenia microphylla

Abstract

From the fronds of Gleichenia microphylla, two new clerodane glycosides were isolated. Their structures were determined to be (6S,13S)-6-[O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyloxy]-13-[O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-fucopyranosyloxy]cleroda-3,14-diene and (6S,13S)-6-[O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyloxy]-13-[O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-L-arabinopyranosyloxy]cleroda-3,14-diene on the basis of their spectroscopic data and chemical evidence.
