Abstract

Measurements of the Knight shift of 115In in liquid indium have been carried out over the temperature range of 420 to 1350 K, using bulk and particle samples. The results observed with the different forms of sample are in reasonable agreement. Therefore, bulk samples seem to be preferable for NMR studies in all those cases where droplet preparation is difficult. A theoretical investigation of the detection sensitivity and NMR signal form of bulk samples is presented.
