The genome sequence of the Clouded-bordered Brindle, Apamea crenata (Hufnagel, 1766)

Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Apamea crenata (the Clouded-bordered Brindle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Noctuidae). The genome sequence is 580.4 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 17.25 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 18,427 protein coding genes.
