Abstract

Abstract The organ most commonly invaded by echinococcosis is the liver; the lungs, brain, kidneys, heart, and spleen are rarely invaded, and echinococcosis with multiorgan involvement is even rarer. We report the course and disease progression of a rare case of renal echinococcosis that occurred after liver transplantation and partial lung resection in a patient diagnosed with hepatic multilocular echinococcosis with pulmonary metastases, as a reference and warning for future clinical management of similar cases.
