Abstract

Abstract

Nanotechnology-derived nutrient availability and sustainable agriculture are a dire need to facilitate crop productivity. This study highlights and determines the effectiveness of an integrated approach using nano-fertilizers (nano-urea and nano-DAP), organic manure, Sagarika and biofertilizers on Cauliflower and Tomato. Standard field experiments with randomized block design (RBD) encompassing distinct treatments with nano-fertilizer foliar application on eighty on-farm trials were employed in village Khatawali (28.23° N, 76.76° E), Haryana during 2020-21 and 2021-22. The average yield of cauliflower was 12.2% higher in 2021 and 15.4% higher in 2022. For tomato, the average yield was 12.6% higher in 2021 and 14.9% higher in 2022 as statistically analysed using ANOVA. Extensive analysis was made on the soil nutrient availability besides the forecast of the beneficially affected economy (profitability). Therefore, the crop-productivity and other yield attributes from combined formulations of nano-fertilizers and conventional non-toxic agri-inputs fully unlock the potential benefits to proceed eco-friendly and cost-efficient agriculture.
