1. Nishi and Shinme [65] investigated the reactions between the Si-Mn killed Fe-42%Ni alloy and the CaO-SiO 2 -MgO-Al 2 O 3 slag at 1873 K. Their results showed that an increase in Al 2 O 3 content of the original MnO-SiO 2 deoxidation products and an increase in the amount of MgO in MnO-SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 inclusions was simultaneously observed, giving rise to the formation of MA-spinel inclusion.
