1. Conclusions In summary, An/Ln group separation has been achieved through the oxidation of the actinides into the hexavalent state and the extraction by a branched-chain extractant EHEHPA. EHEHPA exhibits higher extractability to hexavalent actinides over both trivalent and tetravalent lanthanides. In particular, a separation factor of > 100 has been achieved for Am from the problematic Ce(IV);Future work would thus further search for more efficient ligands with good An(VI)/Ln
