Abstract
In the globalisation era, work and family are important components for individuals and improving living standards. The role of an employee and a family member is different and has high demands of time, energy, and commitment. Thus, this study aims to identify the level of work family conflict (WFC), work family enrichment (WFE) and job satisfaction. Also, to examine the predictors of job satisfaction. This study is designed using a quantitative approach through a survey questionnaire. A total of 248 public sector workers in Kuala Terengganu were collected using simple random sampling. The result of this study indicated that the level of WFC is moderate. Besides that, the level of WFE and job satisfaction are high. The findings indicated that family to work conflict, work to family enrichment, and family to work enrichment significantly positively affect job satisfaction. Besides that, work to family conflict does not significantly affect job satisfaction. The implications of the study indicate the importance of an organisation to emphasise the family in improving employee satisfaction.
