Abstract
Over the past two thousand years, the most remarkable development challenge has been attributed to a lack of awareness and knowledge. Today, with the development of connectivity of citizens from all over the world, a unique opportunity has been provided to leverage knowledge for development. This chapter provides a practical framework for applying knowledge for development, rather than a descriptive one. The model presented in this chapter has highlighted the participation of all actors in creating a knowledge system for development. A bottom-up systemic approach is prescribed to create and promote knowledge systems for development. The contribution of different actors in this process view has been considered.
