Abstract
Modern-day technology has entered every area of our lives. A much-debated question is whether all individuals benefit equally from the use of technology, especially in an inclusive education setting. The authors argue that teachers have been thought of as key role players in its implementation as far as the history of inclusive education is concerned. This chapter presents an assumption that teachers' attitudes towards the implementation of inclusive education and technology integration can influence students' personalities. Drawing on the e-inclusion theory, the authors argue that technology can be used to support inclusive practices. To establish the role of technology in embracing diversity, the authors first review technology integration models and define technology in terms of its instrumental and anthropological position. Then, the chapter discusses the use of technology to create an inclusive learning environment aimed at improving equal access and equity. By positioning inclusive education as a human right, this chapter explores the role of technology in social change and the realisation of human rights.
