Abstract
In an era of accelerated digital transformation in healthcare, this chapter examines the overlooked but crucial issue of digital isolation. Even though the digital age has brought us closer together than ever before, a paradoxical sense of isolation and emotional distance has emerged. This chapter examines digital loneliness's concept, causes, and effects, highlighting its profound impact on mental health and well-being. It extends its focus to vulnerable populations, such as older adults, infants, and people with disabilities, and addresses their unique challenges. Through user-centered design, bridging the digital divide, and personalization, this chapter promotes inclusiveness and accessibility in digital health. It also suggests adopting emerging technologies responsibly and integrating mental health support. The chapter concludes by emphasizing the significance of empathy and inclusivity in realizing the full potential of digital health for all.
