Abstract
The participation of females in non-traditional occupations is the subject of this study. This study aimed to investigate the percentage of women who work in non-traditional fields. The TVET sector has witnessed some profession transition, but it still needs to give more voice to women in non-traditional occupations. There are a number of obstacles and difficulties that women have when entering the workforce or changing careers. Cultural barriers, gender bias, low or unequal salary gaps between men and women, gender stereotypes, and self-efficacy are some obstacles. The study focuses on maintaining the gender gap, the gender-based wage disparity, the transfer of non-occupational skills to the next generation through training and other means, and the involvement of women in leadership roles. Understanding, availability, and social acceptance are essential for women to transition from traditional to non-traditional careers.
