Abstract
This chapter aims at examining the role of stakeholders in continuous quality improvement in Indian higher education institutions. The authors have tried to conceptualize stakeholder involvement in line with the various stakeholder theory and European foundation for quality management model. Continuous quality improvement is a repetitive and cyclical process that can be implemented by using an implementation framework such as plan, do, check, and act (PDCA) cycle. The PDCA cycle based on the stakeholder involvement with respect to the three dimensions of EFQM model can serve as a guiding framework for continuous quality improvement in higher educational institutes. The conceptual framework given in the chapter may be applied by the higher education institutions with greater involvement of stakeholders.
