Abstract

The burgeoning intersection of bibliotherapy and technology presents a dynamic frontier for mental health intervention and personal development. This chapter explores the evolving means and tools within bibliotherapy, emphasizing the integral role of technology in enhancing its accessibility, efficacy, and range. The authors delve into the foundations of bibliotherapy as a therapeutic modality, employing literature for emotional and psychological healing, and transition to a comprehensive examination of contemporary technological advancements that have transformed traditional practices. Key focal areas include digital platforms for literature access, such as e-books and audiobooks; online bibliotherapy sessions facilitated by professionals; and the utilization of algorithms for personalized reading recommendations based on psychological profiles. The chapter also highlights the importance of interactive applications that combine cognitive-behavioral techniques with literary exposure, offering users a multifaceted therapeutic tool.
