Abstract
Within the evolutionary development of children, socio-emotional development allows children to understand, express and regulate their emotions in different social contexts (family, peers, school, etc.), which enables them to establish effective interpersonal relationships. Since the school is one of the main agents of socialization, one of the main objectives of the early childhood Education stage is to favor the integral development of the students in their different areas (cognitive, socio-emotional, motor, etc.). In this regard, early childhood education teachers have to implement educational strategies and methodologies that favor children's socio-emotional development and learning. This chapter addresses these aspects as well as the role of positive psychology in this direction.
