Abstract

This chapter explores the paradigm shift in supply chain logistics driven by the convergence of quantum computing and data-driven decision making. With the exponential growth of data and the increasing complexity of supply chain networks, traditional decision-making approaches are becoming inadequate in meeting the demands of modern logistics operations. By integrating quantum-inspired methodologies with data analytics, organizations can unlock new insights and optimize their decision-making processes across the supply chain. This chapter examines the principles of quantum computing and how they can be applied to enhance decision making in areas such as demand forecasting, inventory management, transportation optimization, and risk analysis. Through case studies and practical examples, the chapter illustrates the transformative impact of adopting a quantum perspective on data-driven decision making in supply chain logistics.
