Abstract
Tourists are pivotal in steering the sustainable trajectory of destinations, given their significant impact on growth and development through environmental behavior. The rise of regenerative tourism accentuates the imperative of responsible environmental conduct for ensuring positive outcomes in travel experiences. Environmental behavior of tourists is complex, shaped by attitudes, perceptions, and awareness. Globally, inadequate environmental behavior poses dire consequences for tourism destinations, leading to their deterioration. This not only influences tourists' preferences towards sustainable destinations but also burdens tourism businesses and local communities, limiting their options. This chapter delves into regenerative tourism principles, scrutinizes environmental behavior intricacies, and explores challenges and opportunities in fostering responsible conduct within regenerative tourism.
