Abstract

Tourism has consistently enticed individuals to unfamiliar locations for various reasons and serves as a means of generating cash for the local population. It indirectly contributes to societal benefits and causes by enhancing the standard of living, providing means of earning a livelihood, and partially eliminating poverty. The cultural concerns around tourism have led to the emergence of the “Green Feather Effect.” This study aims to analyze the effects of tourism development on the local population in the Vrindavan region. The study seeks to quantify the overall positive impacts of tourism development in the Vrindavan region, with a particular emphasis on the improvement of living standards. The empirical study confirms that the local population holds a favorable outlook on measures of tourism development, and the local community views tourism as a means to achieve prosperity and alleviate poverty.
