Abstract
The declining abundance of fish stocks and the deteriorating state of marine ecosystems are triggered by a number of variables such as pollution, overfishing, habitat destruction, and climate change. These factors raise serious concerns about our marine ecosystem. In light of these challenges, there is a pressing need to reframe environmental law on managing the marine resources to better address ecological concerns and promote sustainability. Hence, this chapter established the contextual relevance between the need for Ecological Constitution on the protecting the marine ecosystem from overfishing, loss of biodiversity, ocean acidification, and climate change and provide an overview of how the adaptation of Ecological Constitution can restore the deterioration of marine ecosystem.
