Abstract
The chapter emphasizes the critical need for advanced heat-resistant coatings in aerospace, particularly aircraft engines, to meet rising demands for superior operational materials. Current alloys lack corrosion and oxidation resistance, leading to wear from chemical exposure, erosion, and thermal shock. Effective coatings provide protection against these challenges while regulating heat transfer and thermal radiation. Nanostructured coatings, especially glass-ceramic based ones with self-healing properties, offer solutions. This study develops nanostructured coatings using various glass frits and fillers to withstand temperatures up to 1000°C. Research elucidates structure formation mechanisms, highlighting high strength and heat resistance. Modification with refractory oxides forms dissipative sitallized structures, ensuring superior operational properties. Collaboration with Odesa Aviation Plant SE underscores practical application in protecting aircraft engine parts, advancing aerospace technology.
