Abstract

Intelligent surfaces' combination of fog and cloud computing is a major breakthrough in digital infrastructure. In this chapter, these two realms work in concert, emphasizing how intelligent surfaces serve as linkages to close the gap. It explores the basic ideas of fog and cloud computing and their functions in dispersed systems and intelligent surfaces. Real-time analytics, predictive maintenance, user experiences in smart cities, healthcare, and industrial automation are discussed because integration has the potential to revolutionize industries. However, there are obstacles to overcome, such as security worries, interoperability problems, and standard protocols. The stakeholders may utilize current advancements and best practices to accelerate digital transformation and create a new linked world.
