Abstract

This chapter focuses on the urgent issue of improving the safety of female students on college campuses in Pollachi, a region marked by unique socio-cultural dynamics. The study aims to explore the various factors contributing to the safety concerns of female students and emphasizes the immediate need to bridge this awareness gap. The study is to establish an environment that not only accepts but also demonstrates the effectiveness of AI-driven safety solutions in protecting the well-being of college students. Combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, a mixed-methods research design will delve into the relationship between AI-based safety measures and socio-cultural dynamics on Pollachi college campuses. The survey is conducted using a questionnaire with 122 samples from various colleges in Pollachi. With this research, it is possible to gain insights into the levels of awareness, socio-cultural influences, acceptance, and effectiveness of AI safety measures among female students.
