Abstract
This chapter explores the complex impact of social influences on health behavior. This study examines the influence of social norms, cultural beliefs, socioeconomic status, social networks, and interactions with others on individuals' decisions and actions linked to their mental health. This chapter will analyze the ways in which social factors influence health behaviors in various situations and people, using research from sociology, psychology, public health, and epidemiology. Furthermore, it will investigate the impact of socioeconomic determinants of health on inequalities and disparities in health outcomes.
