Abstract

Industry 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution, brought about a revolutionary shift in manufacturing by utilizing digital technology to improve productivity and communication. This chapter examines the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies inside the industrial landscape as we approach Industry 5.0. Industry 5.0 represents a turn toward human-machine harmony, with artificial intelligence (AI) emerging as the key to coordinating this mutually beneficial partnership. It examines the transition from automation to cooperation, emphasizing AI technologies' role in enabling this peaceful cohabitation. This chapter explains how enhancing human capabilities with AI technology can empower workers. To ensure that the workforce continues to be a key factor in Industry 5.0, measures such as upskilling initiatives and the development of new positions that use AI are investigated. This chapter thoroughly reviews the relationship between AI and Industry 5.0, laying the basis for future research and discussion in the domains of ethics, industry, and technology.
