Abstract
In contemporary workplaces, individuals often have limited influence over the prevailing culture, shaped by those in authority, which can hinder voicing ideas due to fear of criticism or job insecurity. Prioritizing self-care and mental well-being is crucial, considering work-related stress or external factors impacting mental health. This chapter explores mental health complexities in professional settings, focusing on prevalence, outcomes, and intervention strategies. It emphasizes the significance of mental health, offering guidance on communication with employers, overcoming workplace obstacles, building resilience, and achieving personal growth. By empowering individuals, it aims to cultivate a supportive work environment. The research involves a review of literature, industry reports, and case studies, supplemented by primary data from surveys and interviews to capture diverse perspectives. This contribution to the discourse on mental health in workplaces underscores the importance of proactive measures for employee well-being and productivity.
