Abstract
This chapter examines tourism's role in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), analyzing its contributions across all seventeen goals. Through extensive literature review and report analysis, it explores how tourism catalyzes economic growth, job creation, poverty alleviation, and uplifts marginalized communities. The chapter highlights responsible tourism's potential for environmental sustainability, cultural understanding, peace, and tourism's impact on critical issues like gender equality, education, and health. It also investigates the role different stakeholders play to achieving these SDGs. By recognizing and maximizing tourism's contributions, stakeholders can collectively build a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable future. The descriptive chapter, based on secondary data and literature review, aims to deepen understanding of the tourism-SDG relationship, offering insights for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to maximize their interrelationship's benefits.
