Abstract
One of the vital and constantly changing fields regarding current issues in Islamic law is medicine and health-related issues. In this context, it is noteworthy that a study on medical interventions to the human genome and the use of CRISPR-Cas9 technology in this direction has not been conducted until recently. Ülfet Görgülü's work titled Intervention in the Human Genome: Ethical Discussions-Jurisprudential (Fiqhi) Approaches, is very important because it is the first study to fill this gap in Turkish literature. In the present study, it is aimed to examine the work in question, which deals with the individual and social effects of genetic interventions in the human genome for treatment, research, development and improvement purposes.
