Abstract
The author presents selected aspects related to social work supervision: (1) draws attention to the functions of supervision resulting from the Polish legal context; (2) emphasises its importance in the development of communication competencies of social welfare workers, which it associates with the idea of broadly understood cooperation between therapeutic and assistance organisations; (3) points to the role of supervision in building helping teams of welfare partnership as well as an organisation attentive to trauma, referring to the research “Aid institutions – a perspective of attentiveness to trauma”, conducted as part of Behaviour in CRISIS LAB JU.
