There is a number of powerful but costly and involved experimental techniques able to distinguish between the single- and double-layer graphene films. Here we suggest a less rigorous but easier test, which can be performed on a suspended or hexagonal boron nitride encapsulated graphene in low magnetic fields and at room temperatures. The test is based on the same physical property that is responsible for the unconventional quantum Hall effect in single-layer graphene—the cyclotron frequency dependence on the Fermi energy.
