Abstract

Abstract Document management systems are among the information systems that have several benefits. The main benefits include a reduction of time and of transmitting documents. These systems also allow better access to documents for all participants in construction projects. The use of Document Management Systems in the world is growing in every industry. There has been a dramatic increase in the last few years. However, some construction companies are conservative and are adopting new trends and innovations more slowly. This research addresses this issue of the use of information systems in Slovakia. The research involved investors, contractors, sub-contractors, designers operating in Slovakia. The research sample consisted of 55 respondents, including large construction companies.
