Abstract
With the increasingly strict environmental protection requirements, cryogenic cutting technology as an environmentally friendly machining technology has received more and more attention. In this article, the affect of cryogenic cooling on the mechanical behaviors, cutting force and swarf shape of 6061 Aluminum Alloy were studied. Test result display that cryogenic increase strength of materials and reduces the plasticity of the material. Cryogenic cooling improves the cutting force and improves the chip breaking effect.
