Virtual power plant optimal operation considering renewable energy uncertainty

Abstract

Abstract An optimal operation model for a virtual power plant (VPP) is developed to promote the decarbonization of electricity as well as to enable the efficient grid integration of distributed power sources and electric vehicles. The model considers the uncertainty of renewable energy and the environmental punishment of gas turbines to achieve coordinated optimization of distributed resources within the VPP. The case demonstrates the utility of the model.
