Hot Deformation Constitutive Equation and Hot Processing Map of As-extruded Mg-1Nd-1Mn-2Zn Magnesium Alloy

Abstract

Abstract Isothermal constant strain rate compression tests on Mg-1Nd-1Mn-2Zn magnesium alloys were performed using the Gleeble-1500 thermal simulation testing system at 200-350 °C and 0.001-1 s-1. The Arrhenius model was used to create the constitutive equation model. According to the processing diagram of magnesium alloy in the dynamic material model, the findings demonstrate that the peak stress increases with increasing strain rate and decreases with increasing deformation temperature. The constitutive equation model is constructed with excellent precision using the Arrhenius model, the average relative error is 4.21, and the correlation coefficient is 98 %. According to the analysis of the processing diagram, the optimum processing parameters of Mg-1Nd-1Mn-2Zn magnesium alloy are 300 °C and 0.001 s-1.
