Among the recent extensions to standard General Relativity,

gravity has risen an interest given the possibility of coupling between geometry and matter. We examine the simplest model with non-minimal coupling in the context of cosmology. We pay special attention to the question of how far this model could reproduce the observational fact of our universe.
