Abstract
Abstract
Alumina ceramics are widely used as high-voltage insulation
material due to its good electric insulation. As we all know that
the defects inside the ceramic have great impact on the insulation
property of the ceramics, especially the pores. For a better
understanding of the effect of the pores, we carried out the
fundamental study of how the pores affect the electric field
distribution inside alumina ceramics by simulation and theoretical
analysis. The results showed that the electric field strength inside
the pore is higher than that without any pores inside the ceramic
and the increased proportion is almost constant which is not
relative to the size and location of the pore.
