Abstract
Abstract
We have developed an MCP detector with reconfigurable
read-out which is capable of recording the position and time
information for single particle counting and alternatively of
operating at high particle flux with optical read-out. This is
achieved by a Resistive Screen with embedded Phosphor (RSP)
anode. On demand, signal pickup electrodes such as a delay-line
array can be attached or removed without interfering with vacuum,
allowing easy switching between the different operation modes. We
show tests of a prototype.
