Abstract
Abstract
Symmetric electron trajectories in the field of a Gaussian laser pulse are calculated as trajectories with compensation of the dynamic shock at the initial instant of motion. It is shown that the symmetric trajectories have an extremal property, namely, at a fixed peak intensity of the pulse, the time dependence of the electron emission intensity from a symmetric trajectory has the maximum width and amplitude compared to all other trajectories. Formation of paired peaks of electron emission intensity with changing laser pulse peak intensity is analyzed. It is found that the electron emission energy saturates with increasing peak intensity of the laser field in the ultrarelativistic region.
