An Eigensolution Method for Isotropic Elasticity

Abstract

Abstract With the wide application of isotropic elastic solid in industrial production and people’s daily life, the related mechanical calculation has become an important research topic at home and abroad. Scholars have put forward many research methods, among which the most commonly used is the semi inverse method with displacement or stress as the basic variable. However, this method can not get complete solution space on the premise of some assumptions. In this paper, based on the variational principle and Hamiltonian matrix operator, we propose the eigensolution method, and all analytical solutions of isotropic elastic plane problems are obtained.
